Here are some frequently asked questions about Kitchen Ambush. Kitchen Ambush is a revolutionary concept in tv shows. We live broadcast directly from the kitchens of local chefs. We surprise the chef with a special ingredient then let the world watch as the chef has to make a dish using that ingredient in under 30 minutes.

The Kitchen Ambush show was created by Vanessa Lane, Mark Lane, Mark Conway, and Danielle Love.

Can I be a member of the audience for one of the live episodes?

Absolutely. We love to have people watch while we ambush the chefs. Usually, we ambush the restaurants in the morning before they open to the public, so contact us using our Contact Us form if you would like to be a member of the audience for an episode.

There are a few ways that you can help. First, shop at your local restaurants. When you support a local business, lots of local people benefit. Second, if you know of great restaurants that should be on the show, let us know. Finally, support the Kitchen Ambush team by subscribing to our social media channels and visiting our store. Are you really live during a show?

Yes. Unlike most shows that are taped and rebroadcast, our show is completely live. We broadcast directly from the chef's kitchen LIVE. What you see is really happening at that time. You can even send your Facebook comments during the show and sometimes get a response from the team live during the broadcast.
We like to tell the chefs that if their kitchen catches fire, we are going to broadcast the fire department showing up 🙂

We are based out of Norfolk, VA, so we are currently focused on chefs in the Hampton Roads area. However, we plan to rapidly expand outside this area. Watch for us soon in a city near you!

At the moment, we do not charge the chef or restaurant to be featured on the show. We produce the show to highlight the work of our wonderful local chefs, restaurants, and products.
